本プライバシーポリシーは、Chrome 拡張機能「AI Markdown Exporter」（以下「本拡張機能」）における利用者情報の取扱いについて定めるものです。本拡張機能は、開いている Web ページの HTML を Markdown 形式へ変換するツールです。

1. 収集するデータの種類

本拡張機能の提供者（当社）は、利用者に関するいかなるデータも収集しません。 当社が運営するサーバーへデータを送信することはなく、当社が利用者情報を取得・保管・閲覧することは一切ありません。

本拡張機能が扱うすべてのデータは、利用者ご自身の端末（ブラウザ）内でのみ保存・処理されます。具体的には、以下のデータが chrome.storage（ローカルおよび同期ストレージ）に保存されます。

• 設定情報：出力フォーマット（note / Obsidian / GitHub 形式など）および変換オプションの選択内容。
• 変換履歴：変換した Web ページの URL、ページタイトル、選択したフォーマット、変換後の文字数、変換日時。
  • ※変換された Markdown 本文そのものは保存されません。 上記のメタ情報のみを記録します。

これらはすべて利用者の端末内に留まり、当社を含む第三者へ送信されることはありません。

2. 使用目的

端末内に保存される上記データは、以下の目的でのみ利用されます。

• 設定情報：利用者が選択した出力フォーマット・変換オプションを次回以降の起動時に引き継ぎ、再設定の手間をなくすため。
• 変換履歴：利用者が過去に変換したページを本拡張機能のポップアップ内で振り返り、再利用できるようにするため。

いずれの目的も、本拡張機能の基本機能（Web ページの Markdown 変換）を利用者にとって便利にすることに限られます。広告配信・ユーザー分析・プロファイリング等の目的には一切利用しません。

3. データの保存期間

• 設定情報・変換履歴は、利用者が削除するまで利用者の端末内に保存されます。
• 当社のサーバーには一切保存されません（そもそも送信されません）。
• 本拡張機能をアンインストールすると、chrome.storage.local に保存されたデータはブラウザによって削除されます。

4. 第三者提供・外部送信

本バージョン（フェーズ1・無料版）において、本拡張機能は利用者のデータを外部のいかなる第三者にも提供・送信しません。

• Web ページの HTML から Markdown への変換処理は、すべて利用者の端末内で完結します。外部 API・当社サーバー・外部 CDN への通信は発生しません（HTML のサニタイズに用いるライブラリ DOMPurify も拡張機能内に同梱しており、外部から読み込みません）。
• Cookie の利用、トラッキング、アクセス解析（アナリティクス）、アカウント登録はいずれも行いません。

今後追加予定の機能について（AI 要約機能）

将来のバージョン（フェーズ2）では、変換後の Markdown を利用者の任意操作で外部の AI サービス（例：OpenAI、Anthropic Claude、Google Gemini 等の API）へ送信し、要約を生成する機能の追加を予定しています。当該機能は本バージョンには実装されておらず、現時点で利用者のデータが外部 AI サービスへ送信されることは一切ありません。 当該機能を実装・提供する際には、送信されるデータの種類・送信先・利用者の同意取得方法を明記するよう、本ポリシーを事前に更新します。

5. 利用者の権利

• 利用者は、本拡張機能のオプション（設定）画面から、保存されている設定情報および変換履歴をいつでも一括で削除できます。
• 本拡張機能をアンインストールすることによっても、端末内に保存されたデータを削除できます。
• 当社は利用者データを保有しないため、当社に対する開示・訂正・利用停止等の請求の対象となるデータは存在しません。

6. Chrome Web Store の権限と利用目的

本拡張機能が要求する権限と、その利用目的は以下のとおりです。本拡張機能はいずれの権限も、Web ページの Markdown 変換という単一の目的のためだけに使用します。

権限	利用目的（平易な説明）
activeTab	利用者がツールバーのアイコンをクリックした（または変換を実行した）その瞬間の、現在開いているタブの内容にのみアクセスするため。常時・バックグラウンドでの閲覧は行いません。
scripting	変換を実行するときに限り、現在のページに変換用スクリプトをその場（オンデマンド）で注入するため。常駐スクリプトは動作しません。
clipboardWrite	変換した Markdown を利用者の操作でクリップボードへコピーするため。
storage	設定情報および変換履歴を利用者の端末内に保存するため（第1項参照）。
downloads	変換した Markdown を .md ファイルとして利用者の端末に保存するため。

本拡張機能は host_permissions（特定サイトへの常時アクセス権限）を一切要求しません。また、外部から取得したコード（リモートコード）を実行しません。

AI Markdown Exporter — Privacy Policy (English)

This Privacy Policy describes how the Chrome extension "AI Markdown Exporter" (the "Extension") handles user information. The Extension is a tool that converts the HTML of the web page you are viewing into Markdown format.

1. Data We Collect

The provider of the Extension (the "Developer") does not collect any user data. No data is transmitted to any server operated by the Developer, and the Developer never obtains, stores, or views any user information.

All data handled by the Extension is stored and processed solely on the user's own device (browser). Specifically, the following data is saved in chrome.storage (local and sync storage):

• Settings: your chosen output format (e.g., note / Obsidian / GitHub styles) and conversion options.
• Conversion history: the URL of the converted web page, the page title, the selected format, the character count of the converted output, and the date and time of conversion.
  • Note: The converted Markdown body itself is NOT stored. Only the metadata listed above is recorded.

All of this data remains on the user's device and is never transmitted to any third party, including the Developer.

2. Purpose of Use

The data stored on your device is used only for the following purposes:

• Settings: to remember your selected output format and conversion options so you do not have to reconfigure them each time.
• Conversion history: to let you review and reuse pages you previously converted, within the Extension's popup.

Both purposes are limited to making the Extension's core feature (converting web pages to Markdown) more convenient for you. The data is never used for advertising, user analytics, profiling, or similar purposes.

3. Data Retention

• Settings and conversion history are stored on your device until you delete them.
• They are never stored on any Developer server (they are never transmitted in the first place).
• Uninstalling the Extension causes the browser to remove the data stored in chrome.storage.local.

4. Third-Party Disclosure / External Transmission

In this version (Phase 1, free version), the Extension does not disclose or transmit user data to any third party.

• The conversion of HTML into Markdown is performed entirely on the user's device. No communication occurs with any external API, Developer server, or external CDN. (DOMPurify, the library used to sanitize HTML, is bundled within the Extension and is not loaded from any external source.)
• The Extension does not use cookies, tracking, analytics, or account registration of any kind.

About a Planned Future Feature (AI Summarization)

A future version (Phase 2) is planned to add a feature that, upon the user's explicit action, sends the converted Markdown to an external AI service (e.g., the APIs of OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini) to generate a summary. This feature is not implemented in the current version, and no user data is transmitted to any external AI service at this time. Before implementing and offering such a feature, this Policy will be updated in advance to clearly state the type of data transmitted, the destination, and how user consent is obtained.

5. Your Rights

• You can delete all stored settings and conversion history at any time, in one action, from the Extension's Options (settings) page.
• You can also delete the data stored on your device by uninstalling the Extension.
• Because the Developer holds no user data, there is no data held by the Developer that would be subject to requests for disclosure, correction, or suspension of use.

6. Chrome Web Store Permissions and Their Purposes

The permissions requested by the Extension and their purposes are as follows. The Extension uses every permission solely for its single purpose: converting web pages to Markdown.

Permission	Purpose (plain language)
activeTab	To access the content of the currently open tab only at the moment you click the toolbar icon (or run a conversion). No continuous or background browsing occurs.
scripting	To inject the conversion script into the current page on demand, only when you run a conversion. No persistent script runs.
clipboardWrite	To copy the converted Markdown to your clipboard when you choose to do so.
storage	To store your settings and conversion history on your device (see Section 1).
downloads	To save the converted Markdown to your device as a .md file.

The Extension requests no host_permissions (no standing access to specific sites) whatsoever. It also does not execute any remotely hosted code.
